Meet Aleatanu Noela a Sexual Gender Based Violence Activist

Aleatanu Noela is a passionate, dynamic and dedicated young lady who is very keen on Protection, especially Women and Children Protection. She is a holder of an LLB in English law and is currently taking a masters in Human Rights and development. She is very committed in her work as an Advocate and as a humanitarian worker who serves as a Volunteer in various organizations. She is also part of the AU-UNICEF Youth Reference Group, called the African Youth Advocates, where she advocates against harmful practices like Child marriage Female genital mutilation and other child violations.

Noela has carried out various community programs especially clean-up campaigns, capacity-building programs, Skill acquisition training, and Entrepreneurship, in Prisons, schools, orphanages and IDP centres.
For the past 6 years, she has been effectively building capacities and sensitizing young people about the importance of SHRHs, abstaining from Drug Abuse, respect of Human Rights and Advocating for Peace.

As a young leader, she is focused on economic development and entrepreneurship reasons why she has a small hair care line called Alea Naturals, where she produces and sells Natural hair care products for all hair types with oils, plants and butter from Cameroon.


e is very passionate about promoting African heritage and sees this platform as another strategy to advocate for women’s rights, especially African women.
For Hobbies, she loves cooking, travelling, dancing and writing and as such she has a free word press blog where she writes stories and short articles for
Survivors.
