Getting to know Liz Lum Women Deliver Young Leader class of 2020.

If wishes were horses, Liz would have been in New York this bright Friday morning making her voice heard during the CSW67 advocating for the rights of young girls in Cameroon and Africa not getting a visa has not limited her for she has joined the conference virtually and shared her concerns with regards to gender equality and social inclusion.

Liz Lum is a young feminist activist and leader advocating for gender equality and social inclusion. She has been involved in girl leadership programs and collaborated on initiatives such as the provision of emergency pad kits in schools and a campaign for online learning during the pandemic.

In 2020, Liz was one of the 300 young leaders accepted for Women Deliver program https://womendeliver.org/ and she is a Women Deliver Young Leader class of 2020, an Adolescent Girl Participatory Grantmaking Advisor at Global Fund for Women and a nominated International Children’s Peace Prize 2020 recipient.

Liz’s works have placed her in the spotlight as a female leader whom adolescent girls and young women look up to. Her mission is to empower young people, especially adolescent girls, and involve them in leadership, policy and decision-making processes.
